System Requirements

  • System requirements of unpublished versions support the preperation of planned updates. System requirements are dynamic and subject to change.
  • LAGO and the usage of a Oracle Java Runtime Environment: By installing a LAGO component you confirm that your company owns a valid Oracle JAVA Runtime Subscription,  which you have either acquired through a contractual agreement with Comosoft for the use of LAGO or which you have acquired directly by Oracle.
    Please contact your Comosoft representative to discuss the details of java licensing.
  • As a rule Comosoft supports the operating system version that is current when the LAGO version is released, and it’s predecessor. LAGO TANA (6.3) software supports, for example, the current version of macOS 14.4.x and additionally macOS 13.3.x.
    Please note that the system requirements for LAGO Layout can differ from those of the respective layout application.
    Comosoft provides plugins for the versions currently supported by the manufacturers, and recommends avoiding potential problems by updating to the current versions of the layout applications as soon as possible, as Comosoft cannot guarantee a product combination which is not supported by the manufacturer of the layout application.
    An overview of the system requirements of Adobe InDesign can be found at the bottom of this page.
  • Values recommended by comosoft are marked bold in case there are other values present. In this case other values are minimum requirements.
  • The support of LAGO using operating system versions and third-party software ends when the general support by the respective manufacturer ends (ORACLE, macOS, Windows, Adobe products).
  • If you have questions regarding system requirements, please contact comosoft’s Quality Management.
  • Special note for LAGO 5.8 and higher versions: Only hashes generated with bcrypt/Blowfish are used to store login data in LAGO users. The use of proprietary keys has been removed and access to version information of the components used in the system is only possible after successful authentication.
    This upgrade requires migration and configuration efforts by Comosoft technicians. Please contact your Comosoft account representative prior to upgrading to LAGO 5.8.
