LAGO TANA 6.6 is available now!
Dear customer,
We are pleased to announce that with LAGO TANA 6.6, many powerful PIM functions of our LAGO Explorer have been integrated into our web application LAGO PIM. This strategic step enables more efficient, platform-independent use with optimized usability.
Important features, such as activating and deactivating shops, creating automat jobs for documents, creating structured search folders, are now implemented in LAGO TANA 6.6, with more features planned for the next LAGO TANA release.
What this means for you: less installation effort, seamless updates and increased flexibility. Our goal is to provide you with a modern, high-performance environment that makes your processes even more efficient. Stay tuned for further updates!
Of course, we have also made improvements in other areas of LAGO Tana 6.6 and are pleased to present the highlights of LAGO Tana 6.6 to you today with these release notes.

LAGO PIM
A large number of features, which previously were only available in LAGO Explorer are now available in LAGO PIM. Some have been enhanced with additional functionality:
- It is now possible to activate and deactivate shops. A shop must be selected in the main list so that the function becomes active.
- It is now possible to create automat jobs for the selected document(s). For this, a new icon is available in the icon bar of the document list. The options and required user rights depend on the respective automat job type.
- It is now possible to generate article and element references for a selected project. For this purpose, a new option "Generate article and element references" is available for the existing button "Special tasks".
- The special task "Copy Article and Element Link(s)" was added. This function allows you to select a target project and execute the copy of all article and element links from a source project.
- The function to delete all logically deleted elements and / or articles of a selected project was added. For this purpose, there is a new option ‘Clean up elements and articles...’ for the existing ‘Special tasks’ button in the project list.
- It is now possible to create threaded search folders. For this, "Threading" can be picked in the first drop down menu when creating or editing search folders.
- It is now possible to create hierarchical search folder structures. This allows the structuring of search folders. The search results of the search folders of one hierarchy have no impact on one another.
- With the new button “Show assigned assets in DAM” it is now possible to display assigned assets on elements or articles in DAM. There are two options “Show assigned assets of elements in DAM” and “Show assigned assets of elements and assigned articles in DAM” when selecting elements.
- The function "Show assigned assets in DAM" is now available in the article list. With this, all assigned assets of one or multiple articles will be shown in LAGO DAM.
- A new special task on project level is available to apply scoping to elements, articles and prices of a project. This task requires the admin user permission 'Administrator'. This function can be used to resolve inconsistent data. It is also possible to trigger this task via the LAGO API. We strongly suggest getting in contact with our support team before using it since it has a large impact on the environment's data.
LAGO Digital Export
- When using the LAGO Digital Export via LAGO Layout, it is now possible to export boxes that contain IDs in the PDF files. This can be required by interactive online catalogs and leaflets.
LAGO Monitor
- In LAGO Monitor, it is now possible to delete automat jobs that are not in progress and are not locked.
LAGO Script
- It is now possible to use the functions min, max, average, count and sum on document level to calculate with assigned elements, articles and prices. User fields and properties are supported.
Security
- When the password policy is active, there is now an interval active in which a user password must be updated. If a user tries to log-in with a password which is outdated, a new one must be defined.
LAGO Transfer
- When performing an XML export, the export approval of elements which can be configured via the element workflow will now also be evaluated for assigned articles. Articles must be assigned to at least one element with an export approval to get exported.
- It is now possible to import and export translated element properties in the translation import / export.

LAGO TANA 6.5 is available now!
Dear customer,
As the holiday season approaches, we’re happy to announce our latest release: LAGO Tana version 6.5.
In addition to the support of InDesign 2025, we’ve also implemented some new enhancements to help integrate LAGO Tana into your IT eco-system.
With the LAGO Tana 6.5 API, you can now create, edit, or delete Asset Orders and all their associated fields. You can now also easily set up synchronization with the Adobe DAM using the generic LAGO AEM servlet.

LAGO AEM
- A new servlet is available in the Web collection of LAGO. LAGO AEM is a generic integration with Adobe AEM to synchronize Assets from and to the Adobe DAM solution. If you have interest, we suggest to get in contact with the Professional Service.
LAGO Layout
- LAGO Layout and LAGO Layout Server now support Adobe InDesign 2025.
LAGO API
- In LAGO API, it is now possible to create, read, edit and delete asset orders with all necessary fields.
LAGO PIM
- In LAGO PIM, the special task "Cleanup Components" was added. This function allows to select a project and execute the cleanup component function to delete the desired components.
- In LAGO PIM, the special task "Copy Search Folders From Other Projects" was added. This function allows you to select a target project and execute the copy of all search folders from a source project.
LAGO Whiteboard
- It is now possible to split and merge several elements at the same time. The prerequisite for this is that the elements exist in the split variant. If this is not the case, a message appears stating that this action is not possible.
LAGO Asset Processor
- In LAGO, the rejection of PSDs and TIFFs with Smart Objects is now a configurable feature via the Central Configuration.
Automat jobs
- In LAGO Admin it is possible to configure the filename for exported documents that use “Collect for Output” Automat job settings. The filename is configured in the Central Configuration supporting Tokens.
Search
- In PIM, Whiteboard, Proof and History it's now possible to use quick search to search for project description, import key and fields, besides the name. This needs to be configured in a comma-separated list in the Central Configuration.
- A new operator for project search folders is now available in the web applications of LAGO. With "is today", you can evaluate project fields of the type "Date" and "Date / Time".

LAGO TANA 6.4 is available now!

Are you familiar with the new LAGO Dashboard?
LAGO TANA Dashboard offers the ability to define your own widgets, providing a quick overview of jobs, database tables, document status, search results and much more. Dashboard widgets also provide direct access to other LAGO applications. For Example, Job lists can be displayed in a widget that shows the user their respective job and takes them to the associated application with a simple click.
With LAGO TANA 6.4 we’ve now added even more functionality! With our new SQL Report widget, it is possible to display the results of an SQL query in a simple list view. You can even download the data directly as an Excel file!
These are just some of the functions that LAGO Dashboard offers. If you would like to learn more about Dashboard, please reach out!
LAGO TANA 6.4 also offers many more new features!
We have improved the adaptation of local components in variants, extended the asset import in component creation and also optimized correction templates in LAGO Proof!

Scripted fields in exported file names
- The file name configuration of automat jobs now also allows the usage of scripted fields. LAGO Layout and LAGO Layout Server evaluate the scripts when creating the files. Requirement are working scripts.
Faster access to adjustment of local components across variants
- An additional button to adjust variants of local components was added to LAGO Layout. Previously only one button existed for which configuration within the plugin was available to define whether the currently selected component or all components of the document should be adjusted. This previously required a configuration adjustment every time a different behavior was needed. Now two separate buttons exist.
SQL-Report Widget in LAGO Dashboard
- A new widget is available for the LAGO Dashboard. The SQL widget allows users to configure individual select statements and visualize the results as tables. Tokens are available, for example to reference a project key. When using this, it is possible to choose the respective project via the user interface in a drop-down menu. The results can be exported as a Microsoft Excel file.
Log Access in LAGO Maintenance
- In LAGO Maintenance, it is now possible to access log files and temporary data of all servlets.
Enhanced Component Creation via Asset Import
- In LAGO, asset filename syntax that supports the creation of asset components has been enhanced. If an asset import is denied due to a duplicate checksum, the component creation data is still extracted from the file name to create asset assignments and components for the elements referenced in the file name, but using the existing asset.
Improved Correction Mark Template in LAGO Proof
- When using correction marks in LAGO Proof, the name of the correction mark will now be used for the correction mark title. Editing the title manually afterwards is still possible. This requires the SQL-based configuration of correction templates which have been introduced with LAGO 5.12.
